Great food, great company and inspiring design conversation – the perfect ingredients for a successful event. This April, Fisher & Paykel hosted one of their first Architect and Designer events at The Providores in Marylebone. The evening was filled with local wines, friendly faces and stunning New Zealand inspired dishes from F&P partner chef Peter Gordon. The occasion was a fantastic chance for Fisher & Paykel’s international and UK teams to elaborate on the brand’s extraordinary design background steeped in rich heritage from its origins of New Zealand.

Lead designer of Fisher & Paykel, Mark Elmore travelled over from New Zealand to attend the event and didn’t disappoint with his extensive knowledge of the history and products of the company. Laurence Mawhinney, Executive Vice President, and David Woollcott, Managing Director, also shared insight into the culture of Fisher & Paykel and its design stories. DMC carefully chose a selection of design and architecture press to invite to the intimate affair and publications that attended included: Wallpaper*, Evening Standard’s Homes & Property, Studio, Showhouse Magazine and Designer Kitchens and Bathrooms.

Guests were treated to a five-course meal prepared by Peter Gordon, whose link to New Zealand culture has led to a close relationship with Fisher & Paykel. Throughout the night, he would emerge from the kitchen to give detailed descriptions of the gastronomy as well as explain his experiences throughout the years with the Fisher & Paykel brand.

The event was a complete success and the intimate meal provided a charming introduction between the press, retailers and Fisher & Paykel’s core team.
