DMC activates PR for Jessops’s big homecoming!

by Rebecca Moir on 1st Sep 2016

DMC were excited to witness Jessops’s much anticipated return to its birthplace in Leicester, where the company first started out in 1935. The store’s opening ceremony was a huge success, seeing a large crowd gather to help recreate the image of the original Jessops queue, followed by the ceremonious cutting of the ribbon by Retail Operations Director, Scott Worger. DMC were delighted to have such an excellent attendance of local and influential guests, including the Leicester Mercury and the lovely Leicestershire bloggers: Recipes from a Normal Mum, Tales of Annie Bean, Behind the Scent, Carpe Diem Emmie and Extreme Housewifery. We are also thrilled to have accumulated over 70 pieces of coverage from both local and photography publications, helping to promote Jessops’s comeback. This included securing a DPS interview between Peter Jones and the Leicester Mercury Business Monthly supplement, plus 5 pieces of full page coverage within local press publications.

We can certainly say that we’ve helped Jessops to make their mark on the town!
