We are delighted to have been appointed by Irish sustainable fashion start up, The Suss Edit, for the UK launch of their debut sustainable collection.
Born out of a desire to do things differently, The Suss Edit has created a range of luxurious and timeless wardrobe essentials with a unique business model that champions slow fashion.
The brand’s green credentials are well matched to DMC’s expertise within the field of sustainability and supporting start up enterprises, already working with global brands like GROHE who are leading the way within their respective industries.
With a tried and tested approach for seeding products into the hands of those with editorial influence – in this instance, stylists, fashion assistants, editors and Instagram content creators to name just a few – the DMC team can’t wait to get stuck into their latest pursuit, with the project being headed up by experienced fashion PR, account executive Sophie Thrower. As well as generating leads with those publications that matter the most, we’ll also be creating plenty of noise around the brand story and how this small Irish start up with an end-of-life recycle service, complete traceability of its materials and a pre-order business model to prevent wastage is doing things differently.
Despite the pandemic and the impact, it has undoubtedly had on the retail sector, there has been rallying support for small, independent businesses particularly those operating from e-commerce platforms, many of whom saw their side hustles explode during lockdown. As we begin to emerge from the pandemic with some restored hope, it’s an exciting time to launch a new brand, particularly one that plans to lead by example in creating a more sustainably-minded landscape for consumer fashion. The Suss Edit is already making headway on its home turf in Ireland and we can’t wait to see what lies ahead in the UK too.
